The popularity of surfing in Cornwall has increased dramatically over the last few years. With its own surf culture, fabulous coastal backdrops, remote and exciting beaches and the best surfing in the UK, Cornwall has firmly put itself on the surfing map. The best surf and the best backdrops are on the North Coast and Polzeath outside Padstow has become a major centre for surfing in its funnelled bay on a wide and panoramic beach below the cliffs. Safe and thorough surfing lessons provided at the Surf School will set you on the road to catching waves with a team dedicated to getting you standing up and riding to the beach in the quickest and simplest way possible.

For a great day out on the North Coast we can drop you in Padstow for the chance to explore before catching the ferry over to Rock and walking a couple of stunning miles round the coast path to Polzeath for your surf lesson on the beach. We'll collect you at the end of the day as you relax after your wave riding and bring you back to your accommodation. Alternatively we can drop you with bikes so you can sample the Camel Trail to Wadebridge before looping back to Polzeath and a chance to test some surf.

We are keen and qualified Open Water, Advanced and PADI Rescue Divers, so we know our stuff! Wherever possible our days off are spent blowing bubbles in what is a superb UK diving environment. Working with our close friends at Looe Divers, we can provide you with access to some of the most stunning sites in this area of Cornwall and indeed the whole of the UK.

Looe Divers is the closest, longest established and the best PADI five star diving facility to the immense purpose sunk wreck of The Scylla and the ghostly 2nd World War War wreck of The James Eagan Lane in Whitsun Bay. Regular trips are run throughout the week to visit these two renowned sites which are high on the list of all UK Divers.

For those keen to explore more of the natural underwater environment, there is shore diving from right outside Looe Divers in a voluntary marine park which holds an abundance of aquatic life and vegetation. Likewise, trips run to dive off Looe Island, Hatt Rock and, for those that want the adventure, far offshore to the Eddystone Lighthouse. Whatever your choice, we offer a fantastic days diving.

Don't be put off if you have never dived in the waters of Cornwall before - the diving is fantastic and water temperatures in high summer reach 20 degrees. Diving in both dry and wet suits are fine and whilst we have spent many years diving in the tropics, without doubt the Cornish environment provides a varied, unique but equally fascinating range of dives, from ghostly wrecks to seabeds forested in kelp.

If your diving coincides with our day off we may well be on the boat with you! Looe Divers also offer the full range of PADI courses for those who want further training or want to get qualified to dive.

Polmartin Riding is a BHS Approved Riding School and Place to Train situated in the beautiful and tranquil Cornish countryside, near to Lanreath and Looe. We offer unique horse riding lessons, training and riding out all through the year. There are miles of trails and tracks around the farm which include hills, meadows and water features. We also have a sand school for lessons and training and an indoor school for when the sun isn't shining. Whatever your chosen activity, one thing is common - we believe that it should be fun for you, the horse and us. This is reflected in our relaxed style and surroundings which will ensure your visit to us will be enjoyable and memorable.
